Site Details

Cropmarks (Kyloe)

Native site. Circular crop mark about 60m in diameter at NU 00434226, outside of which are other marks suggesting a rectangular enclosure. (1)

Nothing visible on the ground. The site falls on a slight south-facing rise, and is under pasture.
The rectilinear outer enclosure with east-facing entrance, and the inner one with indications of occupation are both consistent with a Jobey-type Romano-British settlement. (2)
