Goswick Deserted Medieval Village (Ancroft)
This was the site of medieval village of Goswick. All that exists today are a few cottages and farms. The village began to decline in the 16th century. An 18th century map shows Goswick as a farm next to the mansion of the Watson family. No earthworks remains of the village, but the earthwork remains of medieval ploughing, known as ridge and furrow, can be seen
