Prehistoric Tools (Kyloe)
A Neolithic axehead and five whetstones were among other articles donated to the Society of Antiquaries Newcastle by Capt C D Leyland of Haggerston Castle on July 31st 1929. They came from the vicinity of Kyloe Crags. (1)
Kyloe Crags is presumably the rocky escarpment called Kyloe Hills centred NU 048391. The exact provenance of the finds could not be ascertained. (2)
