Shawdon deserted medieval village, Hedgeley (Hedgeley)
The earliest mention of Shawdon is in a document written in 1323. The site of the deserted medieval village of Shawdon probably surrounds Shawdon Hall. No earthworks can be seen at the site, which is now a landscaped park.
