An Iron Age/Roman settlement, centred at NU 0621 1513, is visible as a cropmark on air photographs. This feature is situated towards the top of a moderately steep valley slope and faces north-west. It comprises two concentric but irregular curvilinear circuits, however no internal features could be discerned. The outer circuit measures 66m in diameter and is 2m wide. The inner circuit measures 47m in diameter and is 1m wide (0.14ha). The spacing between the ditches varies from 5m to 8m. There is a potential entrance to the north-east. (2a)(3a)
