Dominican Friary (Berwick upon Tweed)
This was the site of a Friary. It was built in 1267 by a group of friars known as the Friars of Penitence. They were abolished in 1274 and in 1285 the buildings were sold to the Dominicans. The building was burnt down in 1436, but it must have been repaired as it is mentioned in a poem written in the late 15th century.
