Park Farm, Newsham (Blyth)

Park Farm was built between 1840 and 1858 and was originally called Newsham Park. It appears to have been a small model farm with a detached farmhouse. The farm buildings were initially a U-plan and then an E-plan range by 1897. A circular gingang was attached to the north side of the farm buildings, but this had been removed by the end of the 20th century. The farm is likely to have been constructed by Matthew White, fourth Baron Ridley, as part of the agricultural improvements to the Blagdon Estate. It has recently been redeveloped with a combination of new-build and conversion of outbuildings to domestic use.
