The site occurs in an arable field just below the crest of a hill. No apparent remains are visible. (2)
NT 967548 Cropmark of a fort. (3)
Halidon Hill settlement, scheduled Northum 591. Circular ditched enclosure discovered by aerial photograph. Slight rise of bank visible. Arable and very stony. Probably Iron Age. (4)
An Iron Age hillfort and trackway, prehistoric pit alignment and ditch of uncertain date are visible as cropmarks on air photographs centred at NT 9678 5480. The hillfort is oval in form and consists of a bank with an inner and outer ditch with two entrances in the south-east and south-west. It measures 69m by 47m and encloses an area of 0.26ha. Trackways can be seen running east and west from the entrances. To the north is a short section of a pit alignment. (5)
