Hazely Hill round cairn (Ford)

(NT 95544036) Tumulus [LB]. (1)

A barrow 16ft in diameter and 2-1/2ft high excavated in 1863, contained four urns, an incense-cup, a bronze pin and a calcined bone pin. Above the urn burials, were found, separately, a beaker, an overhanging rim urn, and a flint chip. (2)

Beaker classified as 'long-necked'. Finds now in British Museum. (3)

A flat topped circular mound 5m in diameter and 0.4m high. No ditch. Surveyed at 1:2500. (4)

Published survey (25 inch) correct. (5)

Not identifiable by eye. (6)
