Heaton deserted medieval village (Cornhill-on-Tweed)
Heaton was part of the Bishop of Durham's estate of Norhamshire in medieval times and is documented from the 13th century onwards. No traces of the village have been recorded around the present farm and the only medieval remains appear to be a few traces of Heaton Castle.
