Bronze Age barrow and urn (Duddo)
(Marginal) On the circumvallating eminence of a large natural basin, two miles in diameter, in the middle of which stands the Duddo Stone Circle (NT 94 SW 8), a mound of earth and stones was excavated containing two inverted and one upright urn. The urns were in the possession of Dr Gilly but the last urn appears to be preserved in the Alnwick Castle Museum. They were found a few years before 1832. (1)(2)
