Bronze Age pottery from Murton Farm (Ord)
NT 963491. An Early Bronze Age food vessel and fragments of a pygmy cup, ploughed up at Murton Farm, Berwick in 1966, were donated to the Museum of Antiquities, Newcastle upon Tyne by Cmdr Phipps-Hornby, Murton White House, Berwick. Accession No 1966.4. (1)
Mr Armstrong of Murton Farm made the find in March 1966, at exactly NT 9633449230. (2)
NT 964493. The food vessel and the pygmy cup were ploughed out of the western end of a ploughed down mound, eighty feet in diameter. (3)
