Belsay County First Schol (Belsay)

This building was constructed around 1870. It was built in a revivalist Gothic style with the combining of the then modern materials. Like many community and commemorative buildings of this period this has a decorative roof of slate and tiles. The tracery of the windows is suggestive of earlier Medieval churches - these were the earlier sites of education. This is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
