Bell pits at Kemping Moss (Doddington)
Between 30 and 40 bell pits are scattered between NT 990375 and NT 996373. The depressions are on average about 4m across by up to 1.5m deep, each surrounded by a bank of up-cast about 1m to 2m wide. The ground is sandy with stone in places and contains small particles of coal. (1)
