Roughting Linn camp (Doddington)

A pre-Roman multivallate fort situated on a riverine spur. The main defences form the arc of a circle with ends resting on the natural scarps. Traces of an outer counterscarp curves into the entrance. (2)

A triangular space between the Broomridgedean Burn and one of its tributaries is isolated by means of a series of mounds and ditches. The mounds are comprised of earth and stones. The east mound is rather straighter and apparently later. (6)
