Prehistoric burials and carved rocks from Ford Westfield Farm (Ford)
(NT 93903697) Tumuli (site of). Urns found. (1)
Several single, cremation burials found on Ford Westfield Farm. Each was placed in a circular hollow and covered by a flat stone, two of which bore cup markings. (2)
Mounds entirely demolished. (No information regarding urns.) (3)
The site falls in a featureless pasture field and there are no visible remains of either mounds or hollows. (4)
In 1850 ploughing revealed a number of graves east of Ford Westfield House. Twenty burials, each burnt and placed in a hollow and covered with a stone. Two of these stones marked with carvings of concentric circles and pits. Other stones found near Ford Westfield. (5)
