Prehistoric Remains at Hazelton Hill (Alnham)

Slight traces of Iron Age remains have been found on Hazelton Hill. Traces of the banks made by ploughing, known as cord rig, can be seen. This probably dates to the same period as a small settlement nearby, where the remains of a house platform can be seen. Although it is difficult to date a simple site like this, it probably dates to the Iron Age.
