Holymire stone circle (Knaresdale with Kirkhaugh)
The remains of what may be a prehistoric stone circle have been discovered by the Gilderdale Burn. It appears to be a double circle and measures between 70m and 75m in diameter. Part of it may have been disturbed by road building in the past.
