Farmbuildings attached to the Crown (Elsdon)
18th and 19th century farm buildings, built of stone with Welsh slate roof. They include a byre with granary over, a former cottage, now a byre, and a cart shed and stable. (1)
An excellent group of three small farm buildings, quite unaltered and of considerable landscape value. They follow the curve of the road and the roofs step down slightly with the lie of the land - a perfect example of sympathy between landscape and architecture. (2)
Crown Farm occupies a corner plot in Elsdon village. Behind the farm is a large combination barn, making an overall L-plan to what developed as a combined inn and farmstead. (3)
