Viking grave goods (East Bedlington)
Viking grave goods consisting of a circular bronze brooch with enamel decoration and a bone comb of Scandinavian type were found in a barrow at Bedlington. The enamelled brooch has no parallel in Scandinavia, and the association with the comb is not altogether convincing as a criterion of a Norse burial, but the locality is within the area of Viking occupation.
