Applies to a square pedestal with masonry about 5 links square and about 15 feet high built in the centre. Situated in the Market Place. No information available regarding its history. (2)(3)
A market cross constructed of dressed sandstone blocks consisting of a shaft 4m high set upon a pedestal 4.8m by 4.5m and 1m high. No datable evidence was obtained. See photograph. (4)
A kind of Market Cross in the form of an obelisk, probably of the 18th century. (5)

Plan of 1800 shows a square likely to represent the market cross in the street immediately west of the church, east of its present position. (8)
