Old Engine house (Pegswood)
These were probably the earliest remains of mining in the area, possibly dating to the early 19th century. The old, ruined engine house is a rectangular building built of brick and rough stone. There is an entrance to the south. There may have been timber walls. A track leads from the building to a nearby spoilheap.
