Cropmark (Cramlington)

An aerial photograph of this site shows the cropmark of rectangular enclosure surrounded by a ditch. It was thought that it may be of Roman or Iron Age date. However, recent excavations on the site did not find any trace of the enclosure and the marks seen on aerial photographs may instead be from more recent farming.
