Burradon (Netherton with Biddlestone)
Burradon was a member of the barony of Alnwick and held by the Umfraville family in their role as Lords of Redesdale. The earliest reference is in 1296, when 18 taxpayers were recorded. By the 18th century the village is shown as a cluster of houses with two or three farms beyond the south side of the village. Today, Burradon is a small farm hamlet.
