Later prehistoric settlement on Spital Hill (Mitford)
A settlement built between 2500 and 6000 years ago, surrounded by a ditch, can be seen as a parchmark on an aerial photograph of Spital Hill. Archaeologists call the period in which this settlement would have been occupied the later prehistoric period.
