Shilvington Bridge (Whalton)

NZ 150799, Shilvington Bridge. Cropmark of a single-ditched enclosure, almost square with sides about 150ft long. There is a centrally placed entrance in the east side, and the whole is comparable in size, shape and general situation with the type of Romano-British settlement prevalent further west. Nothing visible on the ground. (1)

No trace on the ground. A Romano-British classification seems sound, for the reasons given. (2)
