Post-medieval cultivation remains overlying medieval or early post-medieval fields. (1)
An enclosed field of narrow ridge-and-furrow, with ridges no more than 5m wide, to the east of Lordenshaws hillfort (NZ 09 NE 2) overlies broad ridge-and-furrow (NZ 09 NE 37). The enclosure probably dates to the early 18th century and cultivation was abandoned by the mid 19th century. (2a)
General association with HER 10777 (field system). (2)
