Roman enclosure south-west of Hartburn (Hartburn)
NZ 086857 A crop mark earthwork, about 300 yards off the assumed line of the Devil's Causeway, cut by the road from Hartburn to Angerton Hall, and partly obliterated by a plantation on the east but measuring about 150ft north-south. (1)
NZ 08638576. The site lies on the crest of a ridge in an arable field. Nothing is visible on the ground, but its sub-rectangular form and size suggest a Jobey-type Romano-British enclosure. (2)
