Stone hammer (Netherwitton)

A small oval stone hammer-head from the Longlee Farm but where found unknown. It is 3ins long, by 2-1/4ins wide at its widest part, by 1-11/16ins thick. The hole is 5/8ins in diameter. Exhibited before the Society of Antiquaries of Newcastle on 27th August 1902. (1)

Not on exhibit in Blackgate Museum, Society of Antiquaries Newcastle upon Tyne. (2)

Longlee is at NZ 093894, otherwise no further information. (3)
