Lambs Hill (Belsay)
A short-necked beaker found together with a human skull in a cist under a small tumulus, known as Lambs Hill, at Black Heddon (NZ 079760) in 1796. In 1814 the beaker was in the possession of G Hepple of Bygate. (2)

The name 'Lambs Hill' is not known locally, but the tumulus at NZ 07517693 (NZ 07 NE 9) is in the former parish of Black Heddon and on the farm of Bygate, and may be the source of this find. (3)
