Cairn (Bywell)

NZ 01476287. A cairn 19m in diameter and 1.3m in height. It is situated on a slight knoll and is covered by trees. There is no ditch or circle of stones surrounding; but there are vestiges of a tree ring. This is possibly a burial cairn. Mr W P Hedley, Hon Corr of Corbridge, knows of no excavations having taken place here. (2)
