Cartersford Bridge Iron Age or Roman period settlement (Duddo)

Crop mark of a small, irregularly square, ditched enclosure (1).

Cropmark of sub-rectangular ditched settlement enclosure of probable Iron Age or Romano-British date. NT 894433. (2)

An Iron Age or Roman period enclosure is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs at NT8935 4436.
The rectilinear enclosure is defined by a single ditch. It is 44m long and 42m wide and covers an area of 0.17 hectares. (3a)
