Frosterly, Institute/Village Hall (Frosterley)
The present day village hall was originally known as the Institute. The money for it was raised by subscriptions of 1d a week, paid out of workers wages and built by the men of the village. (1)
A clock and associated plaque on the front of the building are dedicated as a First World War and WW2 memorial (2-3).
