Pockerley Mill, Beamish (Beamish)
This was the site of flint mill built in the 19th century. However, only a small cottage can be seen here today. The flint was used to improve the quality of clay used to make Sunderland Ware pottery. The flat-faced rocks that would have been used to grind the flints can still be seen in a rockery nearby.
