It is documented that Sadberge Memorial Hall was a timber structure with a verandah along the western side. It was once a guard room at the military camp at Ripon, moved to its new location at the western entrance of Sadberge village and opened as a village hall in 1921, commanding a fine view (1-2).

It is also documented that a First World War Roll of Honour was located in the building, the location of which is now unknown (2).

The actual location of the wooden structure is unknown. The modern day Village Hall is located in the old school building at the western end of the village that first appeared on second edition Ordnance Survey maps of 1894-99 (3). It is possible that the memorial hall was located close by until it was demolished.
