St. Mary's Church first appears on third edition Ordnance Survey maps of 1919-1926 (1) next to the village school on the north side of the main road through the village. The church has been recorded as the last remaining church in the diocese to be constructed with corrugated iron sheeting (2). Streetview images of 2011 show a small corrugated iron church, painted white with four pointed arch windows down the line of the nave on the southern facing elevation, an open, pyramid-topped bellcote over the western gable, eastern chancel and a pitched roof showing signs of age. The church is known to contain a commemorative plaque dedicated to a fallen soldier of the parish from the First World War (3).
