Sandstone column surmounted by a granite capital and pointed block cap. Column rests on a granite block and step surrounded by a short iron railing within a square flower border. The whole is located in the centre of the Village Green within a square paved area approached from the north and south by paths through the green from the roads on either side. Panel on the front face of the column carries the dedication: "Erected / to the memory of / Tudhoe Village soldiers / who have made the / Great Sacrifce" - under this is the start of the list of names of the First World War dead in a single column. This list continues on the remaining three sides underneath the title "Tudhoe Village / Soldiers and Sailors". Records suggest that Pte. Arthur D Horner listed on the front face of the memorial is the only Tudhoe resident to be killed in the Second World War, his name being added to the memorial post 1945. (1-2)
