Granite cenotaph with two polished granite steps resting on a raised flagstone and brick platform within a paved area on the northern edge of the recreation ground in the village centre. Laurel wreaths carved in half relief adorn the upper section of the monument on the front and rear faces. The dates of the First World War are found below this on the next section down whilst the dedication is on the main panel of the front face: "Erected / in grateful remembrance of / the men whose names are inscribed / on this stone who gave their / lives in defence of their country / during the Great War / 1914-1918". WW1 names are listed on the rear face of the memorial. WW2 dates and names are listed on the right side panel. Unveiled 1922, additional names and dates added post 1945. A roll of honour is also documented as being associated with the cenotaph though the location/survival of this is unknown. (1-2)
