Tall pink/brown granite structure in front of the Village Hall off the north side of Rock Terrace. The monument takes the form of a square-tiered stack with decorative ornamental round columns and mouldings at each corner. The top of the memorial is a cylindrical drum shaped carved stone with ribbed dome surmounted by a draped urn or "Egyptian Vase". The dedication for the First World War is carried on the main front panel: "Erected to the memory of those who fell in the / Great War 1914-1918 / belonging to New Brancepeth", names listed in single columns on the front, back and side panels in gilded lettering. Second World War dedication and names are found in black letters on the lower faces of the right hand side of the monument, names in two columns. Unveiled 1923, with subsequent additions. (1-2)
