Nettlesworth United Methodist Church (Nettlesworth)

A Methodist Chapel first appears on this site on the second edition Ordnance Survey maps of 1894-99 (1). Aerial photographs show that the chapel building was still standing in 2001 (2) but images from 2006 (3) show that the building has been demolished and the site rebuilt on with modern housing. It has been documented that the church once contained a First World War memorial roll of honour but it is not known if it survived the demolition (4) - the North East War Memorials Project website entry for this memorial also shows a picture of the original chapel in a state of partial-demolition.
