This memorial wall features a number of plaques dedicated to the memory of soldiers who served and fell in the First World War. The wall was erected around 1963 when the memorial in the town centre was demolished and a number of plaques, including the large main plaque needed to be relocated. The wall is stone built with concrete lintels in a shallow arc shape. It is located underneath trees at the rear of a semi-circular concrete area at the head of a footpath through the churchyard to the north east of the church itself. The central section of the wall bears the main plaque and is slightly higher than the wings to the left and right which bear various other plaques (1-2).
