Mission Hall, Evesham Road, Seaham (Seaham)
The Mission Hall at (New) Seaham is recorded as being used as the 22nd Durham VA Hospital during WW1, now demolished (1). The building first appears on the third edition Ordnance Survey map of 1919-1926 (2) as well as on aerial photographs from the 1940's (3) immediately south of a school. On modern aerial photographs (4) the site is located between a doctors surgery and a community centre on a grassed field. The building was constructed as a Primitive Methodist Chapel. (5)
