Hardwick WW2 Military Camp, Sedgefield (Sedgefield)
Hardwick Camp is recorded as being in use in 1938-39 (1). On aerial photographs form the 1940's (2) the site comprises a number of buildings, some of which may be the Nissen huts mentioned in (1), within a rectangular compound, with interconnecting roads and open areas. On recent aerial photographs (3) the site is now occupied by a housing estate.
