Field system and clearance cairns, Holwick Fell, Holwick (Holwick)
The remains of a network of fields marked out by earth banks can be seen in this area. A number of clearance cairns can also be seen. The age of these remains is not certain, though it is possible that they may be Bronze Age or Iron Age in date (1).
