Potters Cross (Butterknowle)

An area of low earthworks were noted in a landscape assessment for the Gaunless Valley Project. It is unclear what the earthworks represent but it would seem most likely they are medieval (1066 to 1540) in date and may mark the position of an early village site at Potters Cross.
