Warren House/Ash Gill, Horden (Horden)

Possible remains of pillbox at the top of Ash Gill, evidenced by two separate lumps of concrete in close proximity.

Both lumps appear to be supported by cemented sandbags. It is not known if these two concrete lumps originally formed part of a single structure, but if so, it is suggested that they were constructed 1940-41.

When surveyed in 1997 their condition was described as poor, and under threat of burial by sand dunes.
