Modern Trench System 250 Meters East of Blue House Plantation, Hive Point (Hawthorn)

This is a system of defensive trenches reputed to date from the First World War.

World War II trenches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs. These features have been levelled on the latest 1990-1992 Ordnance Survey vertical photography.
