This is a listed building. Headlam Hall is an Elizabethan country house and dovecote, with a 17th century core which perhaps incorporates older stonework. However, a mid 18th century entry block and an early 20th century north wing obscure this. The 17th and 18th century buildings are constructed of dressed sandstone, the 20th century north wing of dressed ashlar. (1) (2)
