Langdon Beck, Bowes Close (Langdon Beck)
A polished flint axe was found beneath the floor of the house of Bowes Close. Although it is probably of Neolithic (4000BC to 2300BC) date it may have been buried when the house was built in the post-medieval period (1540 to 1900) as a good luck charm.
