The ruins of the current church probably date from the 13th century. Built into the inside face of the north wall however is a fragment of stonework containing a simple interlace design and most likely to be of pre-Norman conquest date. The piece is heavily weathered and only one face is visible but it may represent a fragment of a cross shaft. (2) (3)
